The owners of Bartlesville's popular Painted Horse Bar & Grille will take over operations of Woolaroc's Prairie Dome Café Wednesday.

The cafe opened a little over a year ago along with Woolaroc Museum and Wildlife Preserve's new Fraser Welcome Center.

“We are excited and honored to provide food service for Woolaroc Museum and Wildlife Preserve,” said Mark Spencer, owner of the Painted Horse Bar & Grille. “The menu will feature some familiar favorites from Painted Horse as well as fresh new dishes featuring Woolaroc’s ranch-raised buffalo and longhorns."

The restaurant's diverse menu will include items such as the five-cheese mac, salads, Indian tacos and new twists on delicious sandwiches, as well as traditional specialties like the buffalo sandwich and the Longhorn smash burger sourced from the Woolaroc ranch.

Spencer said the café will also be available to cater private events held at Woolaroc.

“Partnering with Painted Horse is an exciting new chapter for us,” said Woolaroc CEO Kevin Hoch. “I am confident that the revamped Prairie Dome Café will deliver a tasty and memorable dining experience to our valued visitors and supporters.”
