Pair arrested after $20K stolen from Mexican restaurant in Olivehurst, deputies say

Two men were arrested for allegedly stealing more than $20,000 in cash from a Mexican restaurant, according to the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to Cinco De Mayo restaurant, 4925 Olivehurst Ave., on Oct. 22 for reports of a burglary, according to deputies.

Investigators caught up to the pair of suspects, who were arrested after leaving Yuba Sutter Marketplace. Deputies said they recovered cash on them, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

More cash was recovered after deputies executed a search warrant at a home on Gossett Way in Linda.

Neither suspect was in jail custody, according to Sheriff’s Office records.
