The Chiefs will have plenty to of things to work on this week.

Two red-zone turnovers and a number of dropped passes proved costly in the Chiefs’ 21-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

One of the biggest drops came on the Chiefs’ final drive of the game. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw a perfect pass to wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who dropped it at the end zone.

This could have been a game-winning 51-yard touchdown pass. Instead, the ball fell to the turf.

A pair of former Chiefs players joined others in reacting to the drop. Here is what Tyreek Hill shared on X (formerly Twitter):

And former Chiefs offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz noted Chargers receiver Quentin Johnston’s drop against the Packers on Sunday wasn’t the worst.

Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins noted how the drop hurt the Chiefs.

Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer shared this.

Kansas City mayor Quinton Lucas posted this on X.

Sam Quek, who won a gold medal in Olympic field hockey for Great Britain, had this to say.

Here is what others were saying.

The Chiefs’ final play of the game came on a fourth-and-25 pass from Mahomes that went through the hands of wide receiver Justin Watson. It would have been a first down.

Scratch that ... it should have been a first down.
