Palatine Farmers Market Reopens, Safety Guidelines In Place
PALATINE, IL — Local farmers, bakers and cooks will once again have their goods available for sale as the Palatine Farmers Market reopens for its 30th season on Saturday. Farmers markets have been allowed to open as an essential business under Gov. J.B. Pritzker's executive order.

And officials with the Palatine Farmers Market, which will run from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Palatine train station, have set up guidelines for this year's market that prioritize "customer and vendor safety during this pandemic."
"Your health is our first priority," according to a post on the Palatine Farmers Market Facebook page.
Those stopping out should expect the following protocol to be in place:
All vendors and customers need to wear face coverings and practice social distancing
No food samples or consumption of food will be allowed on site
Vendors will be the only people handling the product until the transaction, sale is complete
Stay home if you think you are getting sick
Those planning to stop out are encouraged to pre-order online, have only one family member stop out to the market and sanitize their hands at the entrance to the market. In addition, only one family member should stop out; and elderly residents, residents with other health conditions, children and pets should stay home.
