Palm Bay motorcyclist, 22, killed in Micco crash
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash that led to the death of a 22-year-old Palm Bay motorcyclist riding along U.S. 1 in Micco.
The deadly crash happened at about 3 p.m. Tuesday near Main Street and U.S. 1. Troopers said the unidentified motorcyclist was struck by a red Toyota Tundra turning onto the highway.
Troopers said the Tundra’s 74-year-old driver, from Sebastian, was attempting a left turn from Main Street onto U.S. 1 when the collision took place. The motorcyclist, who was riding a Suzuki, was taken to Sebastian River Medical where he was pronounced dead, troopers reported.
The Tundra’s driver remained on the scene and talked with investigators about the crash. No charges have been filed.
An investigation is ongoing.
