Several candidates for county, state and federal offices will be in town Tuesday for the Palm Beach Civic Association's Candidates Forum.

The forum, which is open to the public, will begin at 10 a.m. at the Mandel Recreation Center, 340 Seaview Ave.

Confirmed candidates include are U.S. Rep. Lois Frankel, a Democrat seeking re-election to Florida’s 22nd Congressional District seat, as well as her Republican opponent, Dan Franzese; House District 87 candidates State Rep. Mike Caruso, a Republican, and Sienna Osta, a Democrat; Eric Ankner, the Republican running against Democratic State Sen. Bobby Powell Jr. for Florida Senate District 24; Port of Palm Beach Commissioner Blair Ciklin, a Democrat defending his Group 4 commission seat  and his opponent Republican Doreen Loretta Benson; and Roderick Oliver Clarke, the Republican running against Democrat Deandre Poole for the port commission’s Group 5 seat.

The Civic Association invited candidates from seven races for political offices that represent the town. Candidates will each be given three minutes to introduce themselves and talk about what they think is important in this year’s election. It will not be a debate, but office-seekers may be available afterward to speak with the audience, according to the Civic Association.

Ed Chase, director of intergovernmental affairs and community engagement for Palm Beach County, will explain the three proposed constitutional amendments and two questions on the Nov. 8 ballot.

Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Wendy Sartory Link, who will discuss rule changes to voting by mail and new precinct numbers, is the scheduled keynote speaker.

The public is invited. For more information, visit palmbeachcivic.org.
