Roundup: Seminole Ridge football makes late field goal to extend undefeated start

Seminole Ridge 9, Forest Hill 7

Owen Holowecky made a 27-yard field goal with 3:38 left in the fourth quarter to lift Seminole Ridge to a 9-7 victory over Forest Hill.

The Hawks fell behind late in the first half after Forest Hill connected on a long pass to set up a short rushing touchdown. Seminole Ridge scored a short touchdown late in the third quarter and appeared to tie the game with a made extra point. A penalty on the Hawks forced a retry, which the Falcons blocked.

Seminole Ridge missed another field goal in the fourth quarter before finally connecting on the game-winning kick. The Hawks improve to 3-0 on the 2022 season.

Saint Andrew's 42, West Boca 7

Jacob Cashion led the Scots over the Bulls with two touchdown passes and a touchdown run, and Bill Young had a 5-yard touchdown. West Boca Raton scored its lone touchdown on run just before halftime.

Santaluces 42, Olympic Heights 6

Will Prichard threw four touchdown passes, including two to Chase Hanning, and Anderson Eliscar returned an interception for a touchdown, as the Chiefs (3-0) raced past the Lions (1-2) in Boca Raton. Anderson Eliscar and Jamar Browder had one touchdown catch each in the win.

Sean Lutin had a rushing touchdown for Olympic Heights.
