Palm Beach County synagogues hosting virtual concerts

Two Palm Beach County synagogues are hosting upcoming virtual concerts.

B’nai Torah Congregation in Boca Raton kicks off its 2021 Virtual Concert Series at 7 p.m. on Feb. 14 with “Jews, Blues and Love Songs” featuring Cantors Magda Fishman of the synagogue and Randy Herman of Chizuk Amuno Congregaton in Baltimore, MD.

The series, which is comprised of five concerts featuring Jewish musicians, continues at 7 p.m. on Feb. 24 with “Yiddish Fiddler on the Roof.” Other shows include “Cantors in the Spotlight” at 7 p.m. on March 17, “Music Magic on 88 Keys” at 2 p.m. on March 21 and “A Mosaic of Israeli Music” at 7 p.m. on April 11.

“My hope is that these concerts will bring joy to all who attend and that we can share all that B’nai Torah is doing with the world,” Fishman said in a news release.

Temple Beth Tikvah in Greenacres will host a virtual concert at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 21 with Cantor Irving Grossman. Among the music Grossman will perform include Broadway hits and songs of the 1960s and 70s.

Concert tickets are $10 per person or $18 per household. Call the synagogue’s office at 561-967-3600 for reservations. A special Zoom link will be sent for the concert.
