Café Delamar, the small and mostly takeout spot in Via Demario off Worth Avenue, has begun offering specialty coffee drinkers a way to add extra zip to their hot sips.

Customers can now order lattés and cappuccinos with flavors — think French vanilla latté or a caramel cappuccino.

“I was so excited when we had our first order for this,” said France Charron, who owns and operates Café Delamar with her husband, Gabriel. “I think it’s going to work out well.”

Café Delamar is offering four flavored beverage syrups: French vanilla, caramel (sugar-free), brown sugar-cinnamon and mango. They’re made by Torani, a San Francisco-based brand founded in 1925 by an Italian husband-and-wife duo.

At Café Delamar, it’s $1 to have about an ounce of caramel, French vanilla or brown sugar-cinnamon syrup added to a $3.49 latté or $3.49 cappuccino.

The mango syrup (also $1 a serving) generally is used to jazz up Café Delamar’s unsweetened iced tea ($2.57).

“We’re hoping to start using the mango syrup with club soda also,” said France Charron. “That way, we’ll have mango soda.”

Café Delamar, 326 Peruvian Ave., is located near the Peruvian Avenue entrance to Via Demario.
