Palm Beach Dining: Island eateries, markets offer variety of to-go options for Christmas

For holiday celebrants spending Dec. 24 or 25 at home with friends and family, here’s an opportunity to get out of the kitchen: order from Christmas-to-go menus offered by Palm Beach restaurants and gourmet markets.

From festive entrees to classic desserts, a variety of items are available. Simply place an order in advance, then pick it up on Dec. 23 or 24 to reheat (if necessary) and serve at home.

Amici Market’s Christmas-to-go menu offers entrees and side dishes that serve groups of six to eight or 10 to 12 people. Orders must be placed by Saturday for pickup on Dec. 24; call 561-832-0201.

Beef tenderloin with Bearnaise or creamy horseradish sauce serves 10-12 people. The cost is $250 for Choice-grade beef or $350 for Prime-grade beef. Boneless turkey breast with root vegetables ($145) serves 10-12 people.

Amici Market’s other main-course selections include poached salmon with dill sauce and lasagna Bolognese. Each of those is $65 for six to eight people and $130 for 10-12 people.

To accompany entrees, there are side dishes that include green beans almondine $50 for six to eight people and $90 for 10-12 people; and scalloped potatoes $60 for six to eight people and $120 for 10-12 people. Roasted brussels sprouts with acorn squash and honey toasted pecans is $65 for six to eight people and $130 for 10-12.

Le Bilboquet is featuring an a la carte Christmas-to-go menu with individual servings of appetizers, main courses and desserts; orders (visit www.hellobilbo.com) must be placed by Dec. 23 for pickup the next day.

Artichoke chestnut velouté ($20), salmon gravlax ($36) and leeks vinaigrette ($39) are among the appetizers.

Main courses include duck Pithivier ($44) with grapes, port sauce and foie gras; and chicken supreme ($62) with black truffle and stuffing.

Le Bilboquet offers two kinds of buche de Noel for $16 a serving: traditional chocolate or citrus with candied clementines and pistachios.

A Christmas Eve dinner-to-go menu and Christmas Day breakfast-to-go menu are offered by Bricktop’s; orders (call 561-855-2030) must be placed by Wednesday with pickup days and times assigned.

Bricktop’s offers Prime rib for six to eight people for $350; beef tenderloin for six to eight people for $350; and roast chicken for four people for $200. Entrees come with group portions of salad, whipped potatoes, steamed broccoli, Hawaiian rolls and English gingerbread or bread pudding with creme anglaise.

Also available: shrimp cocktail for four people ($72).

The breakfast-to-go menu offers two items: quiche Lorraine served with baby greens (six to eight people for $150) and a smoked salmon-and bagel platter ($150 for six people) with whipped cream cheese, red onion and capers.

For those in need of holiday dessert only? Consider Café Boulud.

The French restaurant is featuring to-go options for executive pastry chef Julie Franceschini’s buche de Noel creations.

They each serve six to eight people for $62. Three flavors are available and must be ordered by Monday for pickup on Dec. 23 or 24 (www.cafeboulud.com).

The buche de Noel flavors offered by Café Boulud are raspberry and lime (lime moelleux, raspberry crémeux and white-chocolate mousse); chocolate and hazelnut (caramel, dark chocolate mousse and hazelnut praline); and passionfruit and coconut (coconut feuilletine, baba au rhum and passionfruit gelée).
