If you plan on dining out on for the July 4 holiday, several restaurants in town are celebrating the holiday with specials — from lobster to barbecue chicken and ribs.

The Independence Day fare may come with a fireworks view — or perhaps a choice of red-white-and-blue cocktails.

At The Breakers’ indoor-outdoor Flagler Steakhouse, which overlooks the resort’s golf course, look for a three-course dinner menu ($225).

Selections are set to include: blue crab dumplings with Reggiano, red-pepper butter and truffle oil; South African lobster tails with butter crumbs and chives; and sliced filet mignon with wild-mushroom cream. Valrhona chocolate-layer cake with vanilla ice cream is among the desserts that will be featured.

Tables on the restaurant’s west-facing terrace offer a direct view of the City of West Palm Beach’s July 4 fireworks which are slated to start at around 9 p.m. Advance reservations are required.

Elsewhere at The Breakers, look for celebratory sips to toast the holiday.

At the oceanfront Seafood Bar, The Sparkler cocktail ($19) will feature Grey Goose L'Orange vodka, Cointreau and fresh lime and white-cranberry juices along with a garnish of raspberries and blueberries.

The Patriotic Pop cocktail will be featured July 4 at Henry's.

A Patriotic Pop cocktail ($19) — with raspberry-accented vodka, St. Germain, fresh lime and a mini red-white-and-blue popsicle — will be offered at The Breakers’ offsite Henry’s on Royal Poinciana Way.

An “all-American” barbecue feast ($38) is planned at The Chesterfield’s Leopard Lounge & Restaurant.

The feast, offered from 2 p.m. “until sold out,” will include barbecued chicken and ribs, pulled pork, cole slaw, baked beans, potato salad, cornbread and apple pie.

At Le Bilboquet, look for a cocktail called Stateside Shandy ($20), created for the holiday by bar manager Benjamin Wood.

Since Independence Day evokes images of “hot dogs, barbecue, sunshine, fireworks and beer,” he said, “I thought it would be fun to create a beer cocktail. And being that we are a French restaurant, I also wanted to incorporate the French je ne sais quoi into the cocktail.”

Wood’s beer cocktail blends Pilsner with Pierre Ferrand Dry Orange Curacoa and Angostura Amaro.

The Stateside Shandy will be a suggested pairing for another July 4 special at Le Bilboquet: a Wagyu burger ($39) topped with Gruyere cheese, caramelized onion, tomato and lettuce and served on a brioche bun with a side of fries and a mesclun salad.

The burger and cocktail will be available at both lunch and dinner.

A red-white-and-blue Milkshake cocktail will be offered on July 4 at Cafe L'Europe.

The patriotically hued “Milkshake” libation ($19) includes grenadine, Blue Curaçao and cream. Café L’Europe’s special dessert is set to feature red-white-and-blue pavlova ($16) complete with a miniature paper American flag.

Independence Day specials will be featured on Sunday at Cucina since the restaurant is closed on Mondays.

Executive chef Kent Thurston has planned such daily specials as Wagyu ribeye steaks, plus extra-large tiger prawns from Skull Island in Australia.

“The tiger prawns are harvested from a responsible and sustainable fishery in northern Australia,” Thurston said. “They are huge and delicious.”
