The Palm Beach Police Department is reminding residents to always lock their vehicle doors.

In a release issued Tuesday, police told residents they should lock doors "when the car is parked in your own driveway or in front of your house."

Residents also were reminded to never leave keys inside the vehicle and to "not leave cash, loose change, handbags, briefcases, phones or other valuables in your vehicle as these present opportunities for criminal activity."

Recently, town cameras captured images of a man trying to break into a Rolls Royce parked along Royal Palm Way. In the video, the man walked up to a white 2016 Rolls Royce that was parked in the 100 block of Royal Palm Way and pulled on the driver’s side door handle. After he was unable to get into the car, the man walked away, police said.
