These Palm Beach restaurants have special menus for Christmas Eve

From roasted pig and fixings to a sumptuous four-course dinner, special menus will be offered in Palm Beach on Christmas Eve.

While some restaurants on the island are featuring the same special holiday menus for two or more nights during the December jingle-bells season, others are featuring singular offerings in Dec. 24.

For instance, Almond restaurant on Royal Poinciana Way is once again hosting its suckling pig roast.

It’s a tradition that began with Almond’s Bridgehampton, New York, sister restaurant some 20 years ago, long before Almond Palm Beach opened in 2020.

After Almond’s regular brunch service, roast suckling pig will be offered as a dinner special until 9 p.m.

With each entrée serving of suckling pig ($49), guests can choose two side dishes.

“We thrive on tradition and togetherness (during the holidays),” Almond co-owner Eric Lemonides said. “We have had almost three incredible years in Palm Beach and love that our northern traditions (including the suckling pig roast) have also moved south. A good meal with loved ones and not a lot of fuss is what we are all about.”

Elsewhere, Sant Ambroeus in Royal Poinciana Plaza has a special menu planned just for Christmas Eve, when the restaurant also will offer its regular menu.

The special menu features six dishes, including such antipasti as cod croquette ($60) with Yukon gold potato, herbs, tartar sauce, black olive crumble, butter glaze and shaved fennel. Short-rib ravioli ($50) with shaved black truffle and cheese sauce is among the special pastas.

Entrees on Sant Ambroeus’ menu are set to include veal rib chop ($70) with Dijon mustard sauce, sautéed winter cabbage, juniper and cumin; and roasted black cod ($70) with shaved black truffle, baby beets confit and beurre-blanc sauce.

Among other singular Christmas Eve dining options, look for a four-course prix-fixe dinner menu at the Four Seasons’ Florie’s, the South Ocean Boulevard resort’s signature restaurant.

Once seated at Florie’s, guests will be served an amuse bouche: a yakitori grilled oyster with watercress and Perigord black truffle.

The four-course menu ($215 adults; $75 children ages 5 to 12) will be offered from 5 to 10 p.m. and starts with duck foie-gras terrine with citrus jelly, chanterelle mushroom and almond-and-vanilla brioche.

Lobster agnolotti with a Napoleon Champagne-cognac bisque, trumpet mushrooms, carrot and cilantro syrup is the second course.

The third course: Green Circle chicken ballotine with pistachio-hazelnut stuffing, white Alba truffle and “ivory” sauce.

An “exotic” Christmas yule log is set for dessert.
