Palm Beach's Phipps Ocean Park women's team wins Division 7 tennis title

The Phipps Ocean Park women's team won first place recently in the Palm Beach County Women's Tennis Association's Division 7. There are eight teams in the division.

Team captains were Patti Silver and Cathy Moore. Players included Christine Ansbacher, Melissa Beebe, Alexis Bonner, Mary Kathleen Ernst, Caroline Geerlings, Gail Gordon, Karra Greenwood, Jutta Kassalty, Ruth Kinzler, Maria Forte Latran, Madonna Lomench, Wendy Lyon, Melissa Medrano, Paula Mikus, Joan Parker, Jill Pollock, Jennifer Post, Susan Rosenfeld, Carolyn Ryan, Yana Schlesinger, Michelle Trottier, Leslie Wagner and Colleen Weaver. Sean Lee was the coach.

The team is moving up to Division 6 next season, which is slated to start Oct. 3.
