Palm Springs Animal Shelter to host Clear the Shelters event on Aug 12, 13

Looking to add a new furry member to your family? You're in luck because the Palm Springs Animal Shelter is hosting a Clear the Shelters adoption event on Aug. 12 and 13.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, you can help a cat, dog or other animal find their forever home. All adoption fees will be covered by dog-friendly Palm Springs restaurant Boozehounds.

The shelter, located at 4575 E. Mesquite Ave., said on its website that many of its kennels are "doubled and tripled up," and it is hoping "to adopt out as many animals as possible that weekend."
