Talk about getting it done in all levels of the game. Hawthorne was outstanding at the plate and in the circle last week for the Lady Harvesters.

The third baseman went 4-for-4 with four runs and seven RBI against Herford in a 20-0 win over Hereford to start the week. She followed it up with a 1-for-4 day against Perryton in which she tallied one run home and scored three runs herself. And in five innings, she only allowed two hits in the circle with one eared run, one walk and 10 strikeouts.

That second game was a 26-1 win over Perryton as the Lady Harvesters have gotten off to a roaring start at 12-2 overall and 4-0 in District 4-4A.

"I am very proud of Hallie," Pampa coach Dottie Hawthorne said. "She has really stepped up this year as a team captain and leader of this team. She leads by example and shows positivity for her teammates."

Normally, the Amarillo Globe-News tries to spread these awards out to different schools, but the Randall baseball team is making that hard to do.

There were a lot of great performances last week, but we couldn't not give it to Bowles after the Amarillo College commit threw a no-hitter on Friday against Dumas. He struck out 12 batters to help the Raiders pick up a 12-0 win. The Raiders are 16-3 overall and 2-0 in district play.

"Duncan is the heart and soul of our pitching staff," Randall coach Cory Hamilton said. "He is a great young man, on and off of the baseball field. His preparation and competitiveness are amazing. It's an honor to coach such a great leader."
