Panama City PD identifies motorcyclist killed in Wednesday as Lynn Haven man, 57

One tourist was rescued from the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday off Public Beach Access 21 in unincorporated Bay County.

PANAMA CITY — Law enforcement officials have identified the motorcyclist killed in a Wednesday night traffic crash.

According to a press release from the Panama City Police Department, the victim was 57-year-old Nels Neumann of Lynn Haven.

The crash occurred Wednesday at about 8 p.m. on 23rd Street. Neumann was driving a motorcycle east and collided with a minivan as it was turning south from 23rd Street onto Michigan Avenue.

He was pronounced dead on scene.

"The crash is still under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time," the release reads.
