Panama City's Empty Stocking Fund needs $40,000 in 10 days to hit $200,000 goal

PANAMA CITY — Donations continue to come in, however, with just 10 days left until Christmas, the Empty Stocking Fund is still in need of almost $40,000 to meet its $200,000 goal.

The Salvation Army is able to assist thousands of people during the holidays because of the Empty Stocking Fund, its largest fundraiser of the year.

This year's Empty Stocking Fund campaign goal is $200,000.
This year's Empty Stocking Fund campaign goal is $200,000.

This year's goal is $200,000; the first year's goal was $20,000. More than $4 million has been raised since its inception.
