Panda Express brings back fan-favorite item – but not for long. When you can get it

A Panda Express fan favorite is returning to menus, but not for long.

Firecracker shrimp will arrive Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Panda Express restaurants nationwide, the fast-food chain said in a news release.

The limited-time offering debuted in 2020 and features “seared wok-fired shrimp, fresh vegetables and the bold flavors of Sichuan cuisine,” according to a product description.

The shrimp come at a premium and can be added to any plate or bowl for an extra $1.50, the restaurant said.

Additional information wasn’t immediately available.

The roll out is part of a special five-course tasting menu event being offered at select Panda Express locations in Los Angeles and New York City, according to the release. The main course features firecracker shrimp with sides of quinoa brown fried rice and eggplant tofu followed by a “‘Tea’ramisu” dessert made with chiffon cake and milk tea.

Panda Express said the experience is aimed at transporting customers “to a private, upscale dining destination ... complete with sit-down service, live music on display by a professional violinist and more surprises.”
