Panda Express celebrates opening of newest Utah location

HERRIMAN, Utah (ABC4) — Panda Express is celebrating the grand opening of its newest restaurant, complete with a new store design.

The new Panda Express, located at 12051 S Herriman Main Street in Herriman, Utah, will open with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning, Feb. 16. The first 88 guests will receive a free Panda Express t-shirt, according to the press release.

Panda Express Area Coach of Operations Salvador Naranjo said the entire Panda team is grateful to serve the Herriman community by providing new jobs and supporting local organizations through fundraising opportunities.

“We hope to be a lasting part of the community and welcome all guests into our doors to try our American Chinese favorites and discover their own,” Naranjo said.

The new location reportedly features an updated store design for the restaurant chain, known as “Panda Home.” The model incorporates design elements inspired by traditional Chinese architecture and traditions with modern motifs that “tells the unique story of Panda Express,” the release states.

The chain said it recognizes consumer habits have changed over the last few years, and to meet the needs of guests’ evolved lifestyles, “the updated store design creates efficiencies for operators and diners to accommodate the increased demand for online ordering and drive-thru channels.”

Store hours are Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and the drive-thru will be open until 10 p.m. Friday through Saturday, the store will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the drive-thru open until 10:30 p.m. Sunday, the store will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the drive-thru open until 9:30 p.m.
