Panic in Colorado as Protester 'Opens Fire' on Speeding Vehicle

Protesters ducked for cover in Aurora, Colorado, on July 25 as a vehicle drove towards a marching crowd on the I-225 and at least one demonstrator opened fire, police and local reports said.

Local reports described dramatic scenes in which a driver pulled his truck into the path of a speeding blue Jeep in an effort to stop the Jeep reaching the marchers, and a protester opened fire on the Jeep, striking another protester in the leg.

This video shows the immediate aftermath — loud bangs can be heard at the start of the clip and people are seen ducking for cover.

Police confirmed the incident, saying a vehicle had driven through the crowd and a protester fired a weapon, hitting “at least one other protester.”

According to eyewitness accounts, the occupants of a damaged blue suspect vehicle were later intercepted by police.
