The Panthers announced their 2023 regular-season schedule Thursday.

The team will begin the Frank Reich era on the road in Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, Sept. 10, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. In Week 2, Carolina will host its home-opener on Monday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 18 at Bank of America Stadium.

The 17-game schedule will feature six division matchups and nine road games. Last season, the Panthers had nine home games to launch the 17-game scheduling change for the league.

Single-game tickets went on sale on the team website at 9 p.m. on Thursday.

Below is the Panthers’ preseason slate:

Preseason Week 1

vs. New York Jets

Date/Time: TBD

Preseason Week 2

at New York Giants

Date/Time: TBD

Preseason Week 3

vs. Detroit Lions

Date/Time: Aug. 27 (Sunday), 8 p.m.

Below is the Panthers’ complete 2023 regular-season schedule:

Week 1

at Atlanta Falcons

Date/Time: Sept. 10 (Sunday), 1 p.m.

Rookie quarterback Bryce Young could make his NFL debut on the road in Atlanta. With a division matchup to begin the season, the immediate stakes will be rather high.

Week 2

vs. New Orleans Saints

Date/Time: Sept. 18 (Monday Night Football), 7:15 p.m.

Derek Carr decided to go to New Orleans to play in the lowly NFC South. It’s on Reich and company to show Carr and the Saints that they made a mutual mistake in prime time.

Week 3

at Seattle Seahawks

Date/Time: Sept. 24 (Sunday), 4:05 p.m.

For a second consecutive season, the Panthers will travel west to face the Seahawks in Seattle. The Panthers will hope to secure a repeat win on the road.

Week 4

vs. Minnesota Vikings

Date/Time: Oct. 1 (Sunday), 1 p.m.

The Vikings have an explosive offense that should test the Panthers’ secondary. Young and Carolina’s offense might need to prepare for a shootout. Will former Vikings wideout Adam Thielen have a performance worthy of a “revenge game?

Week 5

at Detroit Lions

Date/Time: Oct. 8 (Sunday), 1 p.m.

The Panthers will hit the road (again) to take on the Lions in October. It’ll be a reunion matchup for assistant head coach Duce Staley, wide receiver DJ Chark and defensive line coach Todd Wash.

Week 6

at Miami Dolphins

Date/Time: Oct. 15 (Sunday), 1 p.m.

Young and company will look to upset the Dolphins in a battle between two former Alabama quarterbacks. Can Young steal one from Tua Tagovailoa in a matchup against a likely AFC contender?

Week 7

BYE WEEK

Rest easy, Panthers fans.

Week 8

vs. Houston Texans

Date/Time: Oct. 29 (Sunday), 1 p.m.

The battle between the top two picks in this year’s draft will take place at Bank of America Stadium. Young will duel with his buddy, Texans rookie QB C.J. Stroud, in an otherwise understated matchup between two young teams looking to rebound from their respective long-term struggles.

Week 9

vs. Indianapolis Colts

Date/Time: Nov. 5 (Sunday), 4:05 p.m.

Although Anthony Richardson might not be the Colts’ starter at this point in the season, the matchup between the Panthers and Reich’s former team still has some drama. Young and Reich will continue to try to prove the Panthers’ brain trust right in this one.

Week 10

at Chicago Bears

Date/Time: Nov. 9 (Thursday Night Football), 8:15 p.m.

The Panthers wouldn’t have Young on their roster if they didn’t trade up to the No. 1 pick in a blockbuster deal with the Bears in March. That trade also included wideout DJ Moore, who could look to put up big numbers against his former team in a prime-time matchup.

Week 11

vs. Dallas Cowboys

Date/Time: Nov. 19 (Sunday), 1 p.m.

Thousands of Cowboys fans are likely to travel for this matchup. The Panthers will try to mitigate the divisive attendance with a strong performance on game day.

Week 12

at Tennessee Titans

Date/Time: Nov. 26 (Sunday), 1 p.m.

Young and the Panthers will battle the Titans in a Nashville showdown on the road. Could Will Levis be the Titans’ starting quarterback by then?

Week 13

at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Date/Time: Dec. 3 (Sunday), 1 p.m.

The Panthers and Buccaneers always seem to play each other in tight matchups. With both teams rebuilding on the fly, this matchup should be no different.

Week 14

at New Orleans Saints

Date/Time: Dec. 10 (Sunday), 1 p.m.

The Panthers will look to continue their winning streak against the Saints with a road matchup that could have division title ramifications.

Week 15

vs. Atlanta Falcons

Date/Time: To be determined

The Panthers dominated the Falcons at home last year. With Young now (hopefully) under center, Carolina will try to extend that dominance with a new coaching staff and a mostly new roster.

Week 16

vs. Green Bay Packers

Date/Time: Dec. 24 (Sunday), 1 p.m.

The Panthers will host Jordan Love and the Packers during a Christmas Eve showdown in Charlotte. Will Young outduel Love during the holiday season?

Week 17

at Jacksonville Jaguars

Date/Time: Dec. 31 (Sunday), 1 p.m.

Duval County will host a battle between two top-pick quarterbacks on New Years Eve. Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars will look to outshine Young and the Panthers in a matchup featuring two former expansion teams.

Week 18

vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Date/Time: To be determined

Last season, the Panthers were able to upset the Buccaneers at home. With a potential playoff spot on the line in the regular-season finale, Carolina will try to repeat history in Charlotte.

* A previous version of this story stated that the Panthers would announce their preseason slate later in the offseason. The opponents have been announced and updated, though the dates and times for the first two exhibition matchups have yet to be determined.
