Papa John's is about to launch a new stuffed-crust pizza filled with Marmite, and the temptation to make a 'love-it-or-hate-it' joke is real, people.

As pizza toppings get more and more extra, the chain restaurant is hopping on the bandwagon. Pizza Hut might give us a cheesy bites crust, Dominos may have mozzarella-stuffed crust, but do either of them have a yeast extract spread? They do not.

The Papa John's offering, however, contains both cheese and Marmite, which will almost definitely leave some people desperate to order immediately, while others will probably want to gag at the thought. But I guess that's kind of the point.

The new menu addition comes after the pizza company introduced cheesy Marmite scrolls, which have been a hit with customers - so much so, that they're now a permanent addition to the menu.

Liz Williams, managing director for Papa John’s said: "Following the huge success of our Marmite Scrolls earlier this year, we’re extremely excited to spread the partnership beyond our side menu and into the crusts of our popular pizzas.

"Ingredient innovation is at the core of our menu and we’re sure that the addition of Marmite to our cheesy crusts will be a huge hit."

The Marmite crust will be available from 25 March until 20th May, and costs £2.50 on top of your normal pizza price. Some will say it's worth it. Some definitely won't.
