Parakeet Cafe opens new Carlsbad location
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Parakeet Cafe is spreading its wings to a new location in the San Diego area.
The cafe, which specializes in coffee and “wellness” beverages as well as dishes that cater to dietary preferences, recently expanded to The Forum Carlsbad.
The North County location will be Parakeet Cafe’s 12th. The business opened its first location in La Jolla six years ago and has since expanded to La Jolla, Del Mar, Little Italy and Coronado, as well as north to Newport Beach, Beverly Hills and Brentwood.

“We do believe in the power of food, and that’s how it started. We wanted to change the paradigm to healthy and tasty, and I think we did it,” owner Jonathan Goldwasser told KUSI on Wednesday.
