The Paramount Center for the Arts and Jules’ Bistro are co-hosting a benefit for Ukraine next month.

The Central Minnesotans for Ukraine benefit will be June 28 at the Paramount and The Regency Venue in downtown St. Cloud. All proceeds will be used to provide services and resources for Ukrainians through Alight, a Minneapolis-based nonprofit, according to a news release from the Paramount and Jules' Bistro.

The benefit will include a virtual silent art auction of pieces created and donated by local artists. Artists have been asked to create pieces that incorporate a sunflower, a Ukrainian symbol of peace and resistance against the Russian invasion. The pieces will be on display at The Regency Venue the night of the event. The auction will open online, through the Paramount’s website at paramountarts.org, June 22 and close on the night of the event.

A concert will take place on the Paramount stage at 7:30 p.m. Michael Shynes, Ted Manderfeld, Paul Diethelm, Pamela McNeill and Quinn Sullivan with Bennett Vee are donating their talents for benefit. Attendees can choose their ticket donation level of $20, $50 or $100 and all ticket proceeds will go to Alight.

Alight’s rapid-response teams are meeting displaced Ukrainians at critical moments on their journey to help them process, re-orient and navigate their new reality. 25% of the population have left their homes behind and 5 million Ukrainians have fled to neighboring countries.
