The label Phipps caused a stir at the beginning of the Men's Fashion Week in Paris with a “Treehugger: Tales of the Forest” show and collection imbued with enthusiasm for nature. By Natalia Grgona of Paris Modes TV.
For his fourth show in Paris, American designer Spencer Phipps focused on nature, bringing to a set in a Parisian high school a diverse group of models bearing staffs like pilgrims, who posed as park rangers as they strode down the runway.
The “Treehugger: Tales of the Forest” collection also features "Smokey Bear," the US Forest Service fire prevention mascot, on a number of pieces.
Spencer Phipps also took advantage of the show to promote his new "pineapple leather" and to launch a "Phipps Gold Label," which will feature reworked vintage clothes.
