While Paris Hilton and her husband, Carter Reum, may have only just welcomed their first child, a son, the heiress has said that she is “waiting” for a daughter.

Hilton, 42, welcomed her first child, Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum, with her husband, also 42, via surrogate in February.

But the former Simple Life star has revealed that she is “waiting” for a daughter after revealing the couple have “20 frozen embryos”.

“Carter and I had already been talking about the future, and then the world was shut down [during lockdown], so I was like, ‘What do you think about us making embryos?’” Hilton told Glamour UK.

Hilton added that the couple have successfully frozen 20 embryos since they began the process in 2020 during the Covid lockdown – but that all of the embryos are boys.

“I have all boys. I have 20 boys … I just went through the process again a month ago, so I’m waiting for the results to see if there’s any girls,” she added.

While Hilton has called her newborn son after a city, she previously revealed that if she were to have a daughter, she would also call her a famous city name: London.

Speaking of the decision to call her son Phoenix, Hilton said on her podcast ahead of the birth: “We plan to name him Phoenix, a name that I decided on years ago when I was searching cities, countries and states on a map, looking for something to go with Paris and London.”

She added: “Phoenix has a few good pop culture reference points, but more importantly it’s a bird that flames out and then rises from the ashes to fly again.

“I want my son to grow up knowing that disaster and triumph go around and come around throughout our lives and that this should give us great hope for the future.”

Hilton and Reum married in a lavish ceremony in November 2021, which saw the former reality TV wear not just one, but four custom-made dresses on the day.

The looks included an Oscar de la Renta dress for the ceremony, a Galia Lahav ball gown for the reception, another Oscar de la Renta look for the party, and an undisclosed designer who made her fourth long-sleeved crystal-embellished look.
