If you grew up in the early 2000s or are a fan of the fashion from the decade, you've probably seen the photo of Paris Hilton wearing a white tank top that has "Stop Being Poor," written across the front. Well, the starlet has some news for you: it's fake! That 2005 fashion moment actually never happened - the shirt was photoshopped. Hilton posted a TikTok to let the world know the truth.
"Debunking the #STOPBEINGPOOR myth. 🙅🏼♀️😹 Don't believe everything you read. 😏 #Iconic 👑" In the TikTok, Paris revealed, "I never wore that shirt. This was completely photoshopped. Everyone thinks this is real." She then goes on to show a picture of herself and her sister, Nicky Hilton, wearing the actual shirt, which reads "Stop Being Desperate." Paris and pal Kimberly Stewart both wore the tank top, which was from the 2005 launch of Nicky's fashion line Chick, which took place in Las Vegas. Keep reading to watch Paris explain it all. Then, take a look back at Paris wearing the actual tank top during the 2005 fashion show ahead.
