Parisians ignore curfew in re-opened terraces

Some Parisians could be seen sipping wine and beer at outdoor tables past the 9 p.m. curfew as police patrolled on Wednesday (May 19), and a handful strolled on the banks of the River Seine later in the night.

Restaurants were permitted to reopen for the first time in six months from Wednesday, as well as cinemas, theatres, museums and shops once deemed non-essential by the government.
