Park ranger to talk on visits to Channel Islands at Ventura community council meeting

A ranger from the National Park Service will discuss what to expect when visiting Channel Islands National Park at the College Area Community Council online meeting.

Juliana Perez, with the National Park Service, will present information about the fauna and flora of the park during the 7 p.m. Wednesday meeting.

Ventura police Cmdr. Rick Murray will provide data on local crimes while Councilman Mike Johnson will give an update on the City Council.

Also on the agenda is Vanessa Stotler, communications and marketing manager for Ventura College.

The neighborhood council represents residents in District 3, an area bounded by Mills Road to the west, Hill Road to the east, city limits in the hillsides to the north and Highway 126 to the south.
