Park Ridge Blotter: Car stolen at gas station while owner pumped gas

The following items were taken from Park Ridge Police Department reports. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Theft

A delivery man was seen scanning a package and walking away with it in his hands on the 1200 block of S. Courtland Ave. on Nov. 21 around 12:45 p.m.

Criminal Damage to Motor Vehicle

An unknown offender used an unknown object to shatter the front driver’s side window to a 2017 Ford Truck during the overnight hours of Dec. 29 on the 1800 block of South Crescent Avenue.

Park Ridge police responded to a shattered rear driver’s side window of a 2014 Ford F-150 on Dec. 30 in the 600 block of Higgins Road. A victim said the vehicle was parked on the street overnight.

A blue Centennial Park garbage can was discovered destroyed in the 100 block of South Western Avenue on Jan. 3 around 8:34 a.m.

Trespass to Vehicle

An unknown offender entered a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder and removed personal items on the 800 block of N. Merrill St. on Jan. 2. Police said a 2018 GMC was also entered, but nothing was taken. Both vehicles were parked in the driveway of the owner’s homes.

An unknown offender entered a victim’s unlocked Infiniti QX80 and rummaged through it on the 400 block of Engel Blvd. during the overnight hours of Jan. 4. Police said no personal property was reported taken from the vehicle.

Motor Vehicle Theft

A person was pumping gas into their 2019 white Acura MDX at the BP gas station at 1220 W. Touhy Ave. when an unknown offender entered the unlocked vehicle and drove off with the vehicle on Jan. 2 around 3:58 p.m.

Suspended/invalid Driver’s license

A 25-year-old woman from the 7400 block of SW 135th Ct., Miami, Florida, was arrested on one charge of driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and disregarding a traffic control device on the 1100 block of Oakton St. on Jan. 2 at 6:20 p.m.

A 21-year-old Mount Prospect woman from the 2300 block of S. Lexington Dr. was arrested for driving without driving without a valid driver’s license, not having valid insurance and driving without lights when required on the 100 block of S. Prospect Ave. on Jan. 2 at 6:15 p.m.

A 36-year-old Round Lake Beach woman from the 500 block of Meadow Green Ln. was arrested for driving with a suspended license, expired and suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at the intersection of Prospect Ave. and Touhy Ave. on Jan. 3 at 6:51 a.m.

Cannabis

A 27-year-old Chicago man from the 400 block of West 129th Street was arrested for the unlawful possession of cannabis on Jan. 4 at 11:40 p.m. in the 600 block of North Potter Road in Des Plaines.
