Part of southbound DuSable Lake Shore Drive to close Sunday evening into Monday; lane closures announced for later in the week

Part of southbound Jean Baptiste Point DuSable Lake Shore Drive will close Sunday evening into Monday as part of the city’s ongoing resurfacing project.

Commuters should expect southbound DuSable Lake Shore Drive between Lawrence Avenue and Irving Park Road to be reduced to one lane starting at 5 p.m. Sunday. At 7 p.m., all lanes in that stretch will be closed, the Chicago Department of Transportation said. The southbound entrance ramp at Lawrence and the entrance and exit ramps at Wilson Avenue, Montrose Avenue and Irving Park Road will also be closed.

All lanes will reopen around 6 a.m. Monday.

The stretch will be reduced to one lane again on Tuesday beginning at 7 p.m. until roughly 6 a.m. Wednesday. No ramps will be affected.

At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, northbound Jean Baptiste Point DuSable Lake Shore Drive between LaSalle Drive and Lawrence Avenue will be reduced to one lane with no ramps affected. All lanes will reopen in that stretch by about 6 a.m. Thursday.

At 8 p.m. Wednesday, southbound Jean Baptiste Point DuSable Lake Shore Drive between Lawrence Avenue and Irving Park Road will again be reduced to one lane until about 6 a.m. Thursday.
