'Parties in the Park' brings family fun the Braintree playgrounds

BRAINTREE – The first of the summer Parties in the Park will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 6 at the Dyer Hill Playground on Washington Street.

Sponsored by Mayor Charles Kokoros and the recreation department, the events feature cookouts with free hamburgers and hot dogs as well as games and activities.

Two other parties are planned. One will be held at 6 p.m. July 12 at Sunset Lake on Safford Street in conjunction with the Braintree Electric Light Department's concert series and will feature music by Gainsville Road.

The final one will be at 6 p.m. July 20 at the Lincoln Playground on Hobart Street.
