Rex’s Birthday Bash

'Transitional Moments in Nature’s Landscape'
This art exhibit from Julijana Prest will be up July 21-Sept. 30 at Ocala City Hall, 110 SE Watula Ave. It is free and open to the public. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. Prest, a Florida-based visual artist, has shown her work in New York, Missouri, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. Dueling Pianos
Dueling Pianos is back at the Reilly Arts Center, 500 NE Ninth St., Ocala, on July 22. There will be two 90-minute sets, at 6 and 8 p.m., in the NOMA Black Box. This musical features your favorite Dr. Seuss characters. According to the Ocala Civic Theatre website: "The Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who must protect the Whos and guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by Mayzie La Bird. Appleton Museum Free First Saturday
Admission is free for everyone at the Appleton Museum of Art, 4333 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala every first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The next free Saturday is Aug 6.
