Passenger dies after car crashes into Housatonic River in Kent

A 24-year-old man died after the car he was riding in veered off the roadway and into the Housatonic River in Kent on Friday afternoon, according to the Connecticut State Police.

State troopers from Troop L responded to reports of a car in the Housatonic River just off Schaghticoke Road in Kent before 3 p.m. on Friday.
