Passengers fined millions for bringing guns to security checkpoints, TSA says
The Transportation Security Administration has seized so many guns in recent years that fines are in the millions.
More than $52 million in fines have been levied against travelers who were caught with guns at security checkpoints over the past three years, according to the TSA.

That figure has topped $20 million with nearly two months still to go in the year.
2021 also broke records for guns being seized, with more than 5,926 guns found at airports nationwide. That breaks down to almost 17 guns every single day.
