Pastor: Georgia GOP bills target Black vote

TIMOTHY MCDONALD III: There is no doubt in my mind that the reason and the rationale behind House Bill 531 is the overwhelming turnout of Black and brown voters. That's who made the difference in the November 3rd election and the January 6th election, the senatorial election.

We have the-- in particular the Black church-- an apt ability to adapt. The reason we have survived so much as a people in this country certainly has to do with the Black church and our ability to adapt. If we can adapt to slavery, if we can adapt to lynching, if we can adapt to Jim Crow, we can adapt to a group of Republicans trying to cause us not to be able to vote.
