  1. The Village of Patchogue Community Development Agency applied for Suffolk County Downtown Revitalization grant funding. This month the CDA received the amount of $28,000, which will be used to complete a new archway.The archway will be placed at the beginning of the Roe Walkway situated between Toast Coffeehouse and Stanley’s Furniture on Main Street, in the spring of 2023.   2. The American Legion Patchogue created a yearly scholarship program in honor of Pauline King. King served in the National Guard for 25 years and worked at the VA hospital in Northport. She passed away in 2021. (LI Advance)

  3. In loving memory of actress Betty White and to celebrate what would be her 100th birthday, fans across the country are being asked to participate in the Betty White challenge. On Jan. 17, the nation celebrated the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. King’s activism during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 1960s changed the lives of millions of people, and his assassination on Apr. 4, 1968, marked one of the darkest days in American history.
