Pathway to pie: New pizza trail features Columbus-style options
In celebration of National Pizza Month in October, Experience Columbus is launching a new Columbus-Style Pizza Trail designed to help visitors and locals discover the pies for which central Ohio is known.
The new trail uses a free digital pass for participants to explore local restaurants and check-in at participating stops along the way.
After four stops, pizza lovers will get a Columbus-Style Pizza Trail T-shirt. Those who sample a pie from every stop within one year could earn a stainless-steel pizza cutter and hot pad.
Trail-goers must dine in or carry out, as delivery orders are not eligible for trail participation.
Greater Columbus pizzas are distinct for their thin crust, edge-to-edge toppings and smaller and square-shaped cuts, although sauces, cheese blends and toppings vary widely throughout the region.
For information, go to experiencecolumbus.com/pizzatrail.The new Columbus-Style Pizza Trail features the following 18 Greater Columbus restaurants: Antolino’s Pizza, Bexley Pizza Plus, Cardinal Pizza, Donatos Pizza (Downtown, Short North, Dublin, north Hillard, New Albany and Ohio State University-area locations), Gatto's Pizza, Grandad's Pizza, Josie's Pizza Hilltop, JT's Pizza, Pub & Patio, Panzera's Pizza, Pasquale's Pizza & Pasta House, Tammy's Pizza, TAT Ristorante Di Famiglia and Vick's Gourmet Pizza.
