Is it patio season yet? Kick off spring at one of Kansas City’s favorite outdoor spots

At long last, spring has sprung in Kansas City.

The cold is gone, the sun is shining, the flowers are blooming and it’s time to get outside and enjoy some fresh air.

With temperatures rising, restaurants and bars across town are beginning to open up their outdoor patios. Percheron in the Crossroads opens its patio on April 14, and Bamboo Penny’s in Lenexa opens April 15 with a celebration to honor Thai New Year.

Last year, we asked readers for some of your favorite outdoor patios to relax and hang out at around KC, and we got a great mix of spots all over the city.

Some patios are designed to feel like you’re heading into a warm weather getaway, while others give you the opportunity to catch up with friends and take a peek at what’s going on in the neighborhood.

No matter your preference, here are a few outdoor patios recommendations from our readers to check out across the city.
