Patrick Mahomes is practicing for the Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday.

As the Cincinnati Bengals and Chiefs prepare to play Sunday in the AFC championship game for the second straight year, everyone is wondering about the status of Mahomes, who suffered a high ankle sprain during the first quarter of the Chiefs' divisional round win over the Jacksonville Jaguars last weekend.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid said every player, including the star quarterback, will practice Wednesday.

When asked about his ankle, Mahomes said it is "feeling good so far."

"We'll be ready to go and I'll be ready to go for sure," he added, per USA Today reporter Tyler Dragon.

Mahomes returned for the second half against the Jaguars, leading the Chiefs to a 27-20 win. He completed 22-of-30 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns.

The Bengals and Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium for the AFC championship game Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
