Patriotic Paw Parade: Aiken's Downtown Dog celebrates pets, Independence Day

Jul. 24—Dog lovers recently gathered on a Saturday morning to celebrate the birth of the United States and their pets.

Downtown Dog hosted a patriotic paw parade on Saturday, July 2, giving Aiken residents and their pets a chance to march in downtown Aiken.

The parade began at Downtown Dog with the participants headed north on Laurens Street. The participants turned back south at Barnwell Avenue and then turned back to Downtown Dog near Park Avenue.
