Wife of missing man Paul Baker, 52, begs for his safe return

Paul Baker, 52, has been missing since 13 January and was last seen by his family in Asfordby, Leicestershire.

The wife of a man who has been missing for eight days has pleaded for him to come home.

Paul Baker, 52, was last seen by his family in the West Avenue area of Asfordby, near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, on 13 January.

He was reported missing the next day and CCTV shows him outside Sainsbury's in Melton shortly before 5pm.

Mr Baker was wearing a grey hooded top and carrying a rucksack and possibly a sleeping bag attached at the base.

His wife, Rachel, 50, has made a public appeal urging her husband to return home.

In a statement, she said: “Paul, if you see this, please just come home. All I want to do is give you a big hug.

“I love you so much and I won’t stop looking for you until I find you.

“It doesn’t matter why you left – please come home so we can continue our lives together.”

Leicestershire Police said Mr Baker is of a slim build and is 5ft 6ins tall. He has receding mousey grey hair and stubble.

He was wearing jeans and possibly a long Parka style jacket when his family last saw him.
