Paul McCartney announces new tour, with 2 Florida concerts. Here's what you need to know

Paul McCartney has announced his new "The Got Back Tour," with two concerts scheduled in Florida.

It marks the former member of The Beatles' first tour since 2019.

“I said at the end of the last tour that I’d see you next time," McCartney said in a news release. "I said I was going to get back to you. Well, I got back!”

The Florida shows are Wednesday, May 25, at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood and Saturday, May 28, at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

American Express card members can buy tickets before the general public beginning 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22 , through 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24. They go on sale to everyone else at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25.

The 13-city tour kicks off April 28 in Spokane, Washington, and ends June 16 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The Got Back Tour marks McCartney’s first series of live shows since his Freshen Up Tour wrapped up in July 2019. Joining McCartney for the 2022 tour are longtime band members Paul “Wix” Wickens (keyboards), Brian Ray (bass/guitar), Rusty Anderson (guitar) and Abe Laboriel Jr. (drums).

McCartney, who turns 80 in June, is one of the most successful composers and performers of all time. While with The Beatles, McCartney's and John Lennon's songwriting remains among the most successful in history.
