Paul Rudd, is that you? Oh wait, that's Pawl Ruff.

If you look closely, a dog at the Collierville Animal Shelter resembles actor Paul Rudd.

So the shelter nicknamed him Pawl Ruff — and they want Rudd to adopt him.

Pawl, whose name is Waffle House, is a 2-year-old, 65-pound, Australian Shepherd mix who loves to play and currently resides in the Collierville Animal Shelter, 603 E. South St.

Pawl moved into the shelter Jan. 28, and employees and volunteers soon discovered he enjoys Milk-Bone and Bully Sticks treats and his "personal party" tail wagging, Shelter Manager Brandon Wallace said.

The long-furred pup emotes several facial expressions like a side smile or a model-like smize on the daily, and former Collierville resident Jenny Dixon took notice on the animal shelter's Facebook post for Waffle House.

Dixon thought Pawl looked like Rudd, known for movies from "Clueless" to "Ant-Man" — so she made a collage of them and their similarities.

"Everyone here thought it was hilarious and rather fitting," Wallace said. "Waffle House has shown he can be quite the goofball, but also extremely charming, which does describe many of the characters Paul Rudd's portrayed."

Since posting Pawl on Feb. 9, the shelter has received more than seven adoption applications for him, although none of those applications belong to Ant-Man himself.

Those looking to adopt Pawl must fill out an application on the Town of Collierville's website and email it to casinfo@colliervilletn.gov.
