Paul Young endorsements range from Young Democrats, Planned Parenthood to NLE Choppa

Downtown Memphis Commission President Paul Young has received endorsements in the Memphis mayor’s race ranging from the Shelby County Young Democrats to local rapper NLE Choppa.

A third notable endorsement for Young comes from Tennessee Advocates for Planned Parenthood, which also endorsed former Shelby County Commissioner Van Turner.

“These endorsements are an affirmation that our campaign is gaining unstoppable momentum and resonating with a broad, diverse coalition of Memphians,” Young’s campaign wrote in an email announcing the endorsements.

Other Young endorsements include add former Grizzlies Player Elliott Perry, director Craig Brewer and GenNext PAC.

In March, Young was joined by NLE Choppa at a town hall focused on mental health and crime, an event intended to “amplify” youth voices.
