Paulina Porizkova took to Instagram to show off her super sculpted bod while lounging naked in bed.
In the photo, the 56-year-old supermodel was completely naked—with a comforter covering some key body parts. (But you can you can totally see her six-pack abs, toned booty, and muscular legs.)
Paulina, who started working out at age 40, says regular Pilates keeps her in tip-top shape.
Supermodel Paulina Porizkova started working out when she was 40. Since then, she’s shared little BTS snapshots of herself getting her sweat on. And she just showed off the results of all that hard work in a new Instagram pic that has plenty of fans picking their jaws off the floor.
The photo shows Paulina, 56, lounging in bed, totally naked. While select parts are covered up, you can totally see her six-pack abs, toned booty, and muscular legs.
“Mankind’s greatest invention. It’s not fire, it’s not the wheel, it’s not pre-sliced bread…it’s incontestably, incontrovertibly, irrefutably — A MATTRESS,” she wrote in the caption. “I’m now convinced this is the real reason humans live longer these days. The beauty and wit of middle age is quickly lost if deprived of a comfortable spot to rest one's bones. Here’s to the padding which supports us while we slumber — hay or straw, down or feathers, coils or foam- whatever it is — as long as it is there! #sleep #mattress #goodtobeback #stayinginbed. YES, I’m back and NO, I cannot even whisper of my travails. All shall be revealed next spring. 😎”
While Paulina’s post was technically an ode to having a great mattress, fans couldn’t get over her fit figure in the comments. “How come you exude so much beauty...sensuality & femininity...can you please explain? 😍🙌❤️,” one commenter wrote. “I Agree Mattresses Are Wonderful, But Humanity’s Greatest Invention May Be YOU 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” another fan said. Even RHOBH cast member, Kyle Rickards, weighed in: "🔥🔥🔥"
OK, but wow. How did Paulina get such impressive muscle tone? She’s big on Pilates. In fact, she shared a video on Instagram back in June that broke down one of her workouts, and it’s clear that Paulina isn’t messing around here.
Paulina pointed out that “staying in shape takes work,” adding that she tries to work out at least three to five days a week. That doesn’t mean she likes it, though. “I frickin hate it,” Paulina said. “I don’t like to sweat and huff and puff and hurt. If sitting on a couch, eating cake, drinking wine, and reading did the same for me as exercise, there would be no contest.”
Paulina gives major credit “for the body I’m proud of” to Nofar Hagag, founder of the Nofar Method, a Pilates studio in Manhattan. In the video, Paulina can be seen doing a slew of core and total body moves, along with side plank crunches. And, while the exercises look hard AF, Paulina works through them like it’s NBD.
Paulina doesn’t just do Pilates. She’s also into dance-based workouts, rowing, and boxing.
But, for as fit as she is, Paula has been open about the fact that she didn’t start working out until she had a stint on Dancing with the Stars when she was 40. Before then, she told Elle, she relied on “cigarettes and poor nutrition” to maintain her supermodel body.
But, in addition to the physical perks, Paulina learned that she just felt better when she worked out on the regular. “I started exercising to help with my panic attacks and to get off antidepressants,” she said. “I found out if I worked out every day my anxiety was kept a lot at bay. And I felt better.”
