Traveling is almost always a stressful situation. However, traveling with two children under the age of 5 can really test your endurance and patience.

Facebook user and mom Becca Kinsey found herself in the daunting situation of traveling with her 2-year-old and 5-year-old on her own. Kinsey was likely expecting it to be a challenge, but instead she experienced three instances when other women stepped up to help.

There is an African proverb: “It takes a village to raise a child.” Kinsey’s Facebook post represents that perfectly.

I thought it was a good idea to fly by myself with a 2-year-old and a 5-year-old,” Kinsey wrote on Facebook. As the family was standing in the security line, her son Wyatt started to scream. Meanwhile, her son James felt exhausted.

“Out of the blue, one mom stops the line for [airport] security and says ‘here, jump in front of me! I know how it is!'” the mother wrote. “Wyatt fell asleep and I was trying to carry everyone’s carry-on when another mom jumps out of her place in line and says ‘hand me everything, I’ve got it.’ When I said thank you to both of them they said, ‘Don’t you worry, we’re going to make sure you get on that flight.’”

As Wyatt started to scream during takeoff and then fell asleep, another woman offered to hold him, telling Kinsey, “You look like you need a break.”

The mother was amazed and wrote, “[The woman] holds Wyatt for the rest of the flight AND walks him all the way to baggage claim, hands him to [my husband], hugs me and says ‘Merry Christmas’!!”

After experiencing such kindness, Kinsey added a note to her Facebook post, saying she wants to “pay it forward.” “We were on our way home from Disney World when 3 amazing women stepped up and helped me out,” she wrote. “What if everyone that shared the story went to Kidd’s Kids and made a $5 donation?! Kidd’s Kids takes children with life-threatening and life-altering conditions on a 5 day trip to Disney World so they can have a chance to forget at least some of the day to day stressors and get to experience a little magic!!” She linked to her cause’s Facebook page.

Several Facebook users were touched by the story, including Katarzyna Gershman, who wrote, “Pay It forward, I always loved that idea. You never know when you might be need a helping hand, and doing something nice for someone is amazing!”
