Saturday, May 28:

Shalersville Township — 10 a.m. parade will start at Mary Ellen Road to state Route 303 to Riverside Cemetery for a service.

Sunday, May 29:

Akron — 1 p.m. service at Civil War Memorial Chapel in Glendale Cemetery, 150 Glendale Ave.

Litchfield Township —1:30 p.m. remembrance walk will start at Town Hall and end at the cemetery.

Rittman — 10 a.m. service at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road. Parking will be limited this year, so please make arrangements to carpool or be transported to the cemetery.

York Township — 3 p.m. parade will start at York Methodist Church. The route is from the church to York Township cemetery, 6800 Norwalk Road. There will be a service at the cemetery.

Sunday, May 29 through Monday, May 30:

Cuyahoga Falls — Weather permitting, more than 400 full-size flags will be flown above Northlawn Memorial Gardens, 4724 State Road, in memory of veterans buried there. More than 2,500 small flags will be placed on graves. A service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday. Hot dogs and refreshments available.

Monday, May 30:

Akron — An 11 a.m. service at Greenlawn Cemetery, 2580 Romig Road, at the Veterans Monument between the two mausoleums. Rifle salute, Taps, laying of wreaths at base of flag by Kenmore American Legion Post.

Alliance — 10 a.m. parade from Linden Avenue and East Main Street to Alliance City Cemetery on West Vine Street. Public ceremony at 11 a.m.

Aurora — 10:15 a.m. wreath-laying ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park. Local American Legion and VFW posts join Mayor Ann Womer Benjamin. Procession to follow leading to Aurora Cemetery.

Bath Township  — Noon observance at Veterans Memorial Park, southeast corner of Cleveland-Massillon and Bath roads. Annual recognition of those veterans who served their country with speakers and patriotic music.

Brewster — 11 a.m. ceremony in the village square.

Brimfield Township — 11 a.m. service at Restland Cemetery.

Brunswick — 10 a.m. ceremony at Visintainer Middle School, 1459 Pearl Road. Parade to Westview Cemetery follows, ending with an 11 a.m. service.

Canal Fulton – 1 p.m. parade steps off from Lindsay Concrete, 6845 Erie Ave., goes north on Canal Street, turns onto East Market Street and ends at City Hall for a ceremony, with a rifle squadron and the Northwest High School band.

Canton – 10 a.m. parade steps off from the McKinley Downtown Campus (formerly known as Timken High School), travels west on Tuscarawas Street, north on Elgin Avenue and concludes with an observance ceremony at the McKinley Monument.

Copley Township — There is no parade. At 11 a.m., there will be a small service at Copley Veterans Cemetery, 3770 Copley Road.

Creston — 11 a.m. parade marches to Maple Mound Cemetery for a service.

Cuyahoga Falls — 9 a.m. parade from Lillis Drive and Portage Trail, marching east on Portage Trail and north on Fourth Street to Oakwood Drive for an 11 a.m. ceremony at Oakwood Cemetery. 

Dalton — 10 a.m. parade starts at Dalton High School and proceeds to the cemetery for a service where Gerald Payn of Wooster will portray Abraham Lincoln and recite the Gettysburg Address.

Doylestown — Weather permitting, starting at 9 a.m. area veterans and military groups will march to cemeteries in the village and back to the square.

Fairlawn — 10 a.m. tribute at Memorial Monument in Bicentennial Park across from City Hall, 3482 S. Smith Road. (The time has been corrected from 9 a.m.)

Garrettsville — 9 a.m. ceremony at Veterans Memorial on Maple Avenue. 9:30 a.m. parade from Baptist Cemetery to Park Cemetery on Center Street, followed by a service.

Green — 10 a.m. parade from Green High School, 1474 Boettler Road, marching east on Boettler to Massillon Road (southbound lanes) to Steese Road to Bulldog Boulevard and ending at Green Middle School, back to the Green High School parking lot via Bulldog Boulevard. A 12:30 p.m. ceremony is held at Green Veterans Memorial Park, 1900 Steese Road.

Parking for the Memorial Day Ceremony is available at the Fire Station No. 1 (handicap parking only), John Torok Senior/Community Center, Queen of Heaven Church and the Anthony Funeral Home. Steese Road will be shut down to traffic during the Memorial Ceremony.

The Car Show and Picnic will begin immediately following the ceremony and end at 3 p.m.  Fire Station No. 1 will also host a pancake breakfast starting at 7 a.m.

Hinckley Township — 9 a.m. parade starts at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 1088 Ridge Road, and proceeds to the Veterans Memorial Park for a wreath ceremony and moment of silence, then on to the administration building, 1410 Ridge Road, for the remaining program.

Hiram — Noon parade from Hiram Christian Church, state routes 82 and 700, to Fairview Cemetery on Route 82, followed by a service.

Hudson – 10 a.m. parade assembles on Milford Road and proceeds east on state Route 303 and north on state Route 91. The event is sponsored by the City of Hudson and the Hudson American Legion Lee-Bishop Post 464. A ceremony will be held at Markillie Cemetery, 410 N. Main St., immediately after the parade. The Hudson High School band will participate.  Eric Hall, adjutant of the American Legion Dept. of Ohio, will be the featured speaker.

Kent — 10 a.m. parade, starting at Depeyster and East Main streets downtown and ending at Standing Rock Cemetery for an 11 a.m. ceremony.

Lakemore — 1 p.m. parade from Springfield High School, 1880 Canton Road, down Sanitarium Road, turning on Lake Road and ending at the Memorial Triangle at Park and Lake roads, followed by a service.

Lodi — 9 a.m. parade from American Legion Post 523, 120 Bank St., through the center of town to Woodlawn Cemetery, then back to the square for a ceremony.

Marlboro Township — Parade will be at 1 p.m. Lineup will start at noon on St. Peters Church Road. A memorial service will follow at Marlboro Cemetery immediately after the parade.  Guest speaker is Debbie White, with special music by Jeff Baker. The Gettysburg Address will be presented by Marlboro Elementary School fifth grade student council.

Massillon — Parade at 9:30 a.m. steps off at Eighth Street Northeast and Lincoln Way East, ending at Veterans Memorial Park on First Street Southeast. Ceremony in Duncan Plaza.

Medina — 10 a.m. parade from Medina County Courthouse on Public Square to Spring Grove Cemetery, followed by a ceremony.

Mogadore — 10 a.m. parade will begin at the intersection of James Street and South Cleveland Avenue.  It  will then proceed down South Cleveland Avenue and turn onto Mogadore Road towards the Greenwood Cemetery, where a brief ceremony will take place. There also will be a bike decorating contest at 9:30 a.m. in the Synthomer parking lot next to the Village Municipal Building. The children will ride their decorated bikes in the parade.

Navarre – 1 p.m. parade steps off on Canal Street West, in front of Village Hall, then travels up Main Street to Wooster Street, turning left on Columbiana Street to the cemetery. The observance begins after the parade.

New Franklin – 10 a.m. parade begins at Grace Bible Church, 5781 Manchester Road, and goes south to Manchester Cemetery, 1030 W. Nimisila Road. A remembrance ceremony will be held at the cemetery at the conclusion of the parade.

North Canton — 9 a.m. parade from near Dogwood Park on Seventh Street Northeast, proceeding south on North Main Street to the square, turning east on Maple Street to Bitzer Park, followed by a ceremony.

Northfield Center Township — 10 a.m. parade at St. Barnabas Church, 9451 Brandywine Road, heading north on Olde Eight Road to the Northfield-Macedonia Cemetery, followed by a service.

Orrville — 9 a.m. parade from the American Legion on Market Street, west on Market to Crown Hill Road and north to Crown Hill Cemetery for a 10 a.m. service.

Ravenna — At 10:30 a.m., a military honor guard will form at the Veterans Memorial on Chestnut Street at the courthouse lawn for a gun salute. A service will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.

Richfield — The first parade will assemble at 7:45 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with services at 8 a.m.  Coffee and doughnuts will be served following the service at the AMVETS post on Wheatley Road.  The second parade will assemble at 9:30 a.m. at the Richfield Historical Society and march at 9:45 a.m. to West Richfield Cemetery on Broadview Road, where a service will be held. Both assemblies will be cancelled if it is raining.

Rittman — 10:30 a.m. parade from Erie and South Main streets, marching downtown to the IGA shopping center on North Main Street. Ceremony will follow at Rittman Cemetery.

Rootstown Township – 10 a.m. parade travels from Loretta Drive, eastbound on Tallmadge Road, to Homeland Cemetery.

Seville — 1 p.m. steps off in front of First Baptist Church, 22 E.Main St., and marches to Mound Hill Cemetery.

Sharon Township — 9 a.m. parade starts at Sharon Corporate Park and ends at the gazebo with a ceremony.

Shreve — 9:30 a.m. parade will begin at the elementary school on Market Street, ending at Oak Grove Cemetery for a program.

Stow – 10:15 a.m. program at Stow Cemetery, 3162 Kent Road, with music and readings.

Suffield Township – 10 a.m. parade from Old Waterloo Road between Congress Lake Road and Catherine Road, crosses state Route 43, and ends at Suffield Elementary School/Lions Park, 1128 Waterloo Road. Fire trucks, bands, antique and hot rod cars, sports teams, dance groups, military units and displays. Memorial following parade at 11:15 a.m. at school. Taps, wreath-laying, color guard, prayer and flag-raising will be held.

Tallmadge – The parade will return this year at 10 a.m. It will assemble at the Ritchie Memorial Shelter House then travel down West Avenue to Tallmadge Circle. A memorial service will be held at the cemetery immediately following the parade. The parade forms in the parking lot of Mack Burleson Field/"The Hole," 30 Wright Road, at 9:30 a.m., moving out onto West Avenue at 10 a.m., turning east towards the Tallmadge Circle, turning onto the Circle, exiting at Southwest Avenue to the entrance of Tallmadge Cemetery, 112 South Ave. The services include a ceremony, the placing of the wreath for fallen veterans, a rifle volley and the playing of "Taps."

Twinsburg — 10:30 a.m. parade from Twinsburg High School, 10084 Ravenna Road, to Veterans Monument on the square, followed by a service.

Valley City / Liverpool Township — 11 a.m. parade starts at the township offices, ending at the VFW Hall on Center Road, where there will be a brief ceremony. As always, this will be a solemn/silent parade.

Wadsworth — 10:30 a.m. parade from in front of the American Legion and VFW Hall on Main Street, ending at Woodlawn Cemetery for a service. The American Legion will be serving a Memorial Day breakfast.

Westfield Center — 11 a.m. parade steps off from North Leroy Park, and goes to Westfield Village Cemetery for a service.

Wooster — 9 a.m. parade from Wayne County Fairgrounds, heading east on West Liberty Street to Public Square, south on Market Street to Madison Avenue and the overpass bridge. Services follow at the Veterans Memorial in Wooster Cemetery.
