The restaurant at Carlin Park served breakfast and lunch for 25 years, relying on word-of-mouth advertising and lines that nearly stretch to A1A. On Aug. 12, 2022, it closed.

Palm Beach County kids go back to school

School's back! Nearly 165,000 students were expected to attend classes across 180 Palm Beach County district-run schools Wednesday morning on the first day of school.

Some even got a red carpet welcome 👀

As students prepare to go back to school Aug. 10, the Palm Beach County School District is facing compounding pressure due to short staffing, concerns about school safety and how the newly minted Parental Rights in Education law will affect the 2022-23 school year.

Nora is short for North Railroad Avenue, the district's western boundary which also will serve as its Main Street. The $520 million project is the largest planned redevelopment in West Palm Beach since CityPlace, now known as The Square.

🔒 Parents, LGBTQ+ students sue Palm Beach County Schools over education law

The Cousins family of Orange County, Florida, are six of the plaintiffs in a suit that challenges the constitutionality of Florida's Parental Rights in Education bill, which LGBTQ+ advocates have dubbed the "Don't Say Gay" bill. Four parents, seven students and a nonprofit LGBTQ+ organization filed a federal lawsuit this week against the Palm Beach County School Board and three others, challenging the constitutionality of a law that restricts discussions on sexual orientation and gender identity in Florida classrooms.

Claudia Campbell has run Delmar Farm in Loxahatchee for 24 years. Until 2021, she never said no to taking in a farm animal. Now she faces shutting down over high costs.

🔒 Jupiter couple emptied garage room where teen was locked for hours before arrests, police say

Since the arrests of Jupiter parents Timothy and Tracy Ferriter, the teen and three siblings have been in foster care. The parents face charges of false imprisonment and aggravated child abuse.

New information comes from a supplemental report provided by Jupiter police officers who came to the home, and it's included in more than 100 pages of discovery materials obtained by The Palm Beach Post through a public records request.
